Cook Country recalculates property taxes on a triennial cycle. This means that every three years properties in each district are reassessed during their given time frame. Appealing your property taxes in year 1 of your district’s cycle is optimal. However, appealing in the 2nd & 3rd years can still award you savings on your property tax bill.
